Alderete: “We have to face every game in the same way"
Omar Alderete sat down with VCF Media this week, ahead of the game against Getafe on Saturday night in LaLiga.
A good dynamic
The team are feeling good. We are coming off two wins. The team are always united and will go to Getafe to bring back another victory. We want to continue with that dynamic, although in LaLiga it is not easy to do that. It's hard to beat any team, and every match is difficult. In Getafe it's not going to be any different, but we have to go there looking for victory and convinced that we can do it.
No easy games
There are no easy games. In the games that we have won, we have suffered a lot, and it's hard for us to win -just like it is for everyone else. For me, there is no easy rival or easy schedule. We have to approach every game in the same way. I think that this way we can put together a significant number of wins.
Defensive solidity
We go into every game with the idea of not conceding goals and trying to be as solid as possible defensively, but sometimes we have ended up conceding silly goals. I think it was something we needed to change and we are trying to do that.
Gabriel Paulista
Gabriel is important for the team and for the dressing room. It is very important to have him with us.
LaLiga and the Copa del Rey
The team know that we can still fight for a European spot in LaLiga and our minds are on focused on that. Later, in the week of the Copa del Rey final, we'll think about that. Of course, it would help us to string together a run of several good matches to come into the final confident, but a final is a different kind of match.
